Summary

David knew that even though he found himself in the storms of life, God was still with him—and that gave him peace and rest.

In the midst of the storms of life, God is always there

In the midst of the storms of life, God is always there.

He is with us in every situation and he holds our hand through it all. He is in control of everything that happens to us and around us. He will never leave us nor forsake us; he will never fail us when we need him most because he loves us so much!

We can rest in Him because He is all-knowing, all-powerful and sovereign over everything

Our storms teach us real trust in God, because he is all-knowing, all-powerful and sovereign over everything.

God is sovereign over everything that happens on earth–including the storms that rage through our lives. He knows what’s coming before it happens and has the power to stop it if he so chooses.

God gives us true contentment, which is an inward comfort that keeps us from being restless or dissatisfied with our situation

Contentment is not the same as complacency. Contentment is a choice and a gift from God. It’s something we can all learn to seek after, especially in times of stress or difficulty.

As believers who know God will take care of us, we can rest in Him while going through life’s storms.

When you’re going through the storms of life, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the circumstances around you. But when we look at the big picture and remember who God is, we can rest in him with confidence.

This week in Battle Drill devotionals, as focus on surviving the storms of life, we are reassured that God’s love is deeper than any hole we may find ourselves in.

There’s a new episode of Battle Drill Devotional every Monday through Friday.
