Introduction
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and lose sight of what truly matters. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to live with a fervent zeal for God and to keep our spiritual fervour alive. In Romans 12:9-13, the apostle Paul reminds us of the importance of maintaining our passion for the Lord and the impact it can have on our lives and those around us.
Our Zeal for God and Our Spiritual Fervour Are Evident in Our Lives
When we are full of zeal for God, it becomes evident in the way we live our lives. Our love for others becomes sincere, and we develop a genuine desire to honour and serve them. We are no longer driven by selfish ambitions but are devoted to one another in love. Our actions reflect the goodness of God, and we actively pursue what is right and just.
Keeping Our Zeal for God and Our Spiritual Fervour Requires Intention
Keeping our spiritual fervour red hot requires intentional effort. It means staying connected to God through prayer, studying his Word, and seeking his guidance in all aspects of our lives. We must be joyful in hope, knowing that our faith in God’s promises will sustain us through difficult times. We remain patient in affliction, trusting that God is working all things together for our good. And above all, we continue to serve the Lord with passion and enthusiasm, never allowing our zeal to wane.
As we live out our lives with unwavering zeal for God, we become living testimonies of his transforming power. People take notice of the difference in our lives. Our actions and attitudes speak louder than words, and they become a powerful witness to the love and grace of Jesus Christ. When we share our story and testify about the difference God’s power makes in our lives, we are sharing the Good News of the gospel.
The Impact of Never Lacking in Zeal But Keeping Your Spiritual Fervour
Imagine the impact we can have on others when they see the genuine joy and peace that comes from a life surrendered to God. Our zeal for God can ignite a spark in their hearts, drawing them closer to him. It is through our unwavering devotion and fervour that we have the opportunity to lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
