Summary

Whatever you are going through at the moment, Jesus is with you. He loves you and he is interceding for you. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on him, whatever storms of life we might face this year and beyond.

The Storm Clouds Gather

A number of people in our fellowship and beyond are facing a storm in their lives at the moment. It might be the storm of grief and bereavement. It might be a storm of ill health and trips to the doctors and hospital. Our nation faces the storm of a cost of living crisis and rising energy prices. The storm clouds of war hang over Eastern Europe as the war in Ukraine continues.

Where is Jesus in our Storms?

Where is Jesus in all of this? The answer is that he comes to us in our storms and brings his presence of peace. He doesn’t wait for us to come to him. He walks on the waters towards us. And as he does so, he is praying for us, interceding with his Father on our behalf. He has been with you and praying for you in all the storms of life you’ve endured so far. He has prayed for us and is with us in whatever we face in these days. And he has prayed for our future too, and promised: “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b NLT).

Whatever you are going through at the moment, Jesus is with you. He loves you and he is interceding for you. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on him, whatever storms of life we might face this year and beyond.
