Introduction to CeCe Winans Worthy Of It All
Writers David Brymer and Ryan Hall have used the pictorial biblical language found in Revelation of saints, angels, and elders bowing before Jesus, the Lamb, on the throne, and singing their worship to him in the new worship song, CeCe Winans Worthy of It All.
The melody evokes the kind of reverence and awe we should have for Jesus, particularly when we are worshipping him.
But this song does not confine itself to our worship during a worship meeting. Evoking language from Psalm 141:2, CeCe Winans sings “Day and night, night and day, let incense arise”. We are reminded that we should be constantly in prayer with God, offering all of the activities in our day as worship to him.
This song was released in 2021, but I was first introduced to it at The Salvation Army’s Southern School of Christian Arts over the summer, and it continues to be popular in many churches and worship settings.
