Read Psalms 22:1-31. When God rescues us from a traumatic situation it deserves a public testimony. Others need to know!
In Psalm 22:21, God answers the psalmist mid-sentence, with just one word: Rescue! The psalmist’s response is to want to be amongst God’s people in worship in order to praise God with them. He wanted to share his testimony. From trauma and seeming abandonment, to rescue. What a story!
As we begin to emerge from the global COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, there will come a time when you sense that God has rescued you. You may not have yet gathered in-person with God’s people yet, and so God’s rescue may come quietly when you’re alone. But when it does, be prepared to offer public praise for his prayer.
Others will be encouraged by your testimony. They need to hear how God has helped and rescued you from your difficulties. It will give them hope that he will do so in their too. Who needs to hear your good news story today?
THINK IT OVER
Think about the following:
oWhat would your testimony about God be today? Who could you share it with?
