This sermon opens our new four-week series, Happiness. The pursuit of happiness is a universal longing for all humanity. But often we look for it in the wrong places. Jesus tells us that when we accept him as Saviour and leader of our lives, then God gifts us happiness. The Beatitudes as the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount show us what this looks like.

You can ask God for opportunities to use the gifts he has given you to serve him and in his Holy Spirit’s power – just like Peter – you can take those opportunities with confidence. You will be amazed what God can do through you!
